Beye suffered the injury while training with Senegal |
Senegal defender Habib Beye will be out of action for one month because of a hamstring injury.
The 29-year-old, who is the captain of French side Marseille, damaged ankle ligaments in training last week ahead of Senegal's Nations Cup qualifier against Tanzania.
The injury was originally thought to be relatively minor and could keep Beye out of action for only a week.
However, doctors have now been confirmed that he will be missing for between three and four weeks.
Beye's absence is blow to Marseille, who are chasing a Champions League place in Ligue 1.
