Aruna Dindane scored the Elephants' second in Madagascar |
Ivory Coast defeated Madagascar 3-0 in Antananarivo on Sunday to continue their dominance of Group One of 2008 Nations Cup qualifying.
The victory takes the Elephants to six points from two games, while Madagascar have yet to avoid defeat in the campaign.
The Ivorians had wrapped up the match before half-time following goals from Steve Gohouri and Aruna Dindane.
Before a lively crowd of 25,000, Amara Diane wrapped up the points for the visitors with an 82nd-minute strike.
The Ivorians have made a perfect start to the group, scoring eight goals, conceding none and picking up maximum points from their games.
Gohouri opened the scoring after 28 minutes as he netted his third goal of the week following his brace in a friendly in Mauritius on Wednesday.
Dindane then doubled the Elephants' lead just seven minutes later.
Meanwhile, Madagascar's hopes of qualifying for next year's finals in Ghana are effectively at an end.
