Cameroon striker Samuel Eto'o will be rested for Barcelona's King's Cup quarter-final, second leg match against Real Zaragoza on Wednesday. Eto'o scored on Sunday in a 3-0 win over Athletic Bilbao, however, Barcelona coach Frank Rijkaard said:
"We have spoken with the medical staff and the player and we all agree he shouldn't be included in the squad."
Club doctors said Eto'o's recovery was "positive" but warned against forcing the pace after tests on Tuesday.
The Catalan side trail the tie 1-0 from the home leg against Real Zaragoza. The Primera Liga leaders visit second-placed Sevilla on Saturday, travel to face Liverpool in a Champions League clash on Tuesday, and then host arch-rivals Real Madrid the following weekend.
