Striker Peter Ndlovu has won a recall to Zimbabwe's national side months after doctors said a series of knee injuries would end his career.
Ndlovu, 33, who plays in South Africa for champions Mamelodi Sundowns, has been named in his country's squad for a friendly against Namibia in Harare on Wednesday.
At the start of the season, club officials said it was unlikely that Ndlovu, who also played in England for Coventry City, Sheffield United and Birmingham City, would make a recover sufficiently to play again.
Zimbabwe have also called up Portsmouth forward Benjani Mwaruwari and Polish-born defender Dickson Choto for the match at the Rufaro stadium.
