Adebayor joined Arsenal from Monaco

Togo striker Emmanuel Adebayor is expected to be out of action for three weeks with a thigh injury.

The 22-year-old suffered the injury while playing in Arsenal's 2-0 victory over West Brom in the English League Cup game on Tuesday.

"It doesn't look too good," Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger.

"He will miss the game against Everton (this weekend) and maybe more.

"This type of injury usually takes 21 days."
