Neveu's contract with Guinea expired after the Nations Cup |
French coach Patrice Neveu is in the running to take charge of Senegal's national team.
According to Mbaye Ndoye, president of the Senegalese Football Federation, the Frenchman is a potential candidate to take over from incumbent Abdoulaye Sarr.
Neveu had been in charge of Guinea, but his contract expired after the African Nations Cup finals in Egypt, where he led his side to the quarter-finals.
The 51-year-old started his coaching career with semi-professional clubs in France and has managed sides in Morocco, Niger, Tunisia and China.
Should Neveu get the Senegal job, he will have the task of earning them qualification to the 2008 African Nations Cup finals in Ghana.
