1855:Full-time. Ghana 1-2 Zimbabwe.

Full-time. Nigeria 2-1 Senegal.
A thrilling end to Group D sees Nigeria and Senegal reach the knock-out stages of the African Cup of Nations.

Nigeria go through as group-winners with nine points while Senegal finish level on points with Ghana and Zimbabwe - but progress because of a better goal difference.

Nigeria will play Tunisia in the last-eight and Senegal will take on Guinea.

1854: Goal. Ghana 1-2 Zimbabwe
Zimbabwe's hopes look over as Ghana pull a goal back from nowhere. Baba Adamu's spectacular strike is nothing more than a consolation for Ghana but means Zimbabwe need two goals to go through now.

1850: Zimbabwe think they have scored the goal that will put them in the last eight. Benjani puts the ball in the net but the linesman has flagged for offside.

There will be four minutes of injury time in the Nigeria-Senegal match - and Zimbabwe have the same amount of time to get the goal they need.

1848: Goal. Nigeria 2-1 Senegal
Nigeria take the lead against Zimbabwe with a goal that changes everything in Group D.Obafemi Martins taps home after a great cross from Kanu Nwankwo on the right. It leaves Senegal, Zimbabwe and Ghana level on points. If Zimbabwe can score again - they will qualify, but currently Senegal still have the second qualifying place.

1846: Just five minutes left and Ghana are battling to stay in the African Cup of Nations. They need to claw two goals back against Zimbabwe and as it stands, Nigeria and Senegal will go through to the last-eight.

1844: Kanu misses a header in the penalty box that should have sealed a win for Nigeria and given him his first Cup of Nations goal.

1842: Ghana have a chance to get back into the game but Abubakari Yakubu can only manage a weak shot with the goal at his mercy.

1838: Goal. Nigeria 1-1 Senegal
Obafemi Martins' header levels the score for Nigeria, connecting with a cross from Kanu who cuts in from the right. If scores stay the same then they will stay top of Group D.

1837: Ghana keeper Sammy Adjel is in real trouble after injuring his foot in a collision. Ghana have used all three of their substitutions and could be down to 10 men.

Enyeama makes another save for Nigeria, after Senegal's Henri Camara hits a strike in the box

1836: With 15 minutes left, Ghana are all but out of the African Cup of Nations. Senegal lead Nigeria 1-0 and will top the group if things stay as they are. Nigeria are currently second, while Zimbabwe lead Ghana 2-0 and are up in third place at the moment.

1835: Senegal's Bouba Diop takes a shot which forces Enyeama to go to his left.

1833: Benjani is looking in confident mood for Zimbabwe and has a shot from 30 yards out. It never stops rising and does not trouble Sammy Adjel.

1831: Ghana are at sixes and sevens again. Goalkeeper Sammy Adjel is caught out of his area and a Gilbert Mushangazhike cross causes chaos in the penalty area. Somehow the ball is cleared - but things still look bleak for Ghana.

1829: Goal. Ghana 0-2 Zimbabwe
Disaster for Ghana. Benjani runs on to a loose ball on the edge of the area and calmly slots the ball into the net to put Zimbabwe 2-0 up.

1828: Senegal's Pape Diakhite comes on for Ferdinand Coly - a strange substitution, as defender Coly has been one of Senegal's most impressive players so far.

1826: Senegal's Diomansy Kamara gets a yellow card after bringing down Kanu.

1821: Nigeria win a free kick on the edge of the penalty box after Kanu is brought down by Souleymane Diawara. But the effort by Taye Taiwo hits the Senegalese wall.

1820: Goal. Ghana 0-1 Zimbabwe
Things get worse for Ghana as they fall behind. Sammy Adjel fails to deal with a cross and Ghana defender Issah Ahmed puts the ball in his own net to give Zimbabwe the lead. Ghana are now bottom of Group D as things stand and have a lot to do if they are to qualify. Senegal and Nigeria are currently the two teams who will go through.

1818: Goal. Nigeria 0-1 Senegal
Soulemayne Camara breaks the deadlock to put Senegal ahead, scoring from close range after Nigeria keeper Enyeama stops the initial effort from Henri Camara. It is bad news for Ghana, who fall from second to third in the group standings.

1817: Ghana still have not got going and it is Zimbabwe who are doing all the attacking. Tinashe Nengomasha fires in a shot this time that Sammy Adjel does well to save.

1816: Henri Camara takes a shot at goal but his effort was not strong enough to rattle Nigeria keeper Enyeama. Garba Lawal is brought in to add pep to Nigeria's midfield, replacing Christian Obodo.

1812: Tinashe Nengomasha marches unchallenged towards the edge of the Ghana penalty area and lets fly with a bouncing low shot that flies just past Sammy Adjekl's right-hand post.

Kanu Nwankwo comes in to give an added dimension to Nigeria's attack, replacing Ayodele Makinwa.

1811: Senegal's Pape Bouba Diop has a go at goal from 20 yards out but his shot goes wide.

1807: Senegal keeper Tony Sylva saves a ball at the feet of striker Obafemi Martins.

1806: Peter Ndlovu picks up where he left off in the first half. He cuts inside before firing in a shot that Ghana goalkeeper Sammy Adjel has to save.

Senegal resume their assult on the Nigerian defence, winning a free kick. But Lamine Diatta's effort goes into touch.

1805: Zimbabwe kick off the second half and the game between Nigeria and Senegal has also restarted. With both games goalless it is Ghana and Nigeria who sit in the two qualifying spots at the moment.

1748:Half-time. Ghana 0-0 Zimbabwe.

1746: Half-time. Nigeria 0-0 Senegal
Nigeria are fortunate not to have conceded a goal after close range misses by the Senegalese. It sets up what is expected to be an exciting second half.

Peter Ndlovu whips in a brilliant cross but Benjani wastes another golden opportunity to put Zimbabwe ahead. Ghana are hanging on before half-time.

1745: Zimbabwe's Tinashe Nengomasha is 40 yards out and in space but decides to shoot - and scoops a terrible shot horribly high and wide.

El Hadji Diouf's close-range header misses the Nigerian post by inches after Enyeama failed to hold onto a cross.

1743: Senegal's Diomansy Kamara goes down in the penalty box - after a challenge by Taye Taiwo - but the referee waves play on, as he rules the challenge was proper.

1740: Nigeria and Senegal are both playing a rather cagey game as they to figure out a way to unlock each other's defence.

1737: Sammy Adjel has to make an acrobatic save to keep out Zvenyika Makonese's powerfully-struck free-kick which is heading for the top corner until the Ghana keeper punches it away.

Nigerian teenager John Mikel Obi appears to be looking for a penalty as he tries to dribble past Senegal's Ferdinand Coly and Pape Bouba Dio. But the referee waves play on after Obi falls in the box.

1734: Ghana mount their first serious attack on the Zimbabwe goal. Stephen Appiah is in the right place to latch on to a bouncing ball in the area - but he chooses to blast his first-time shot and cannot keep it down.

1733: Gilbert Mushangazhike wastes a great chance for Zimbabwe. The ball breaks to him on the edge of the box but he sends his shot high over the bar.

1732: Benjani breaks clear of the Ghana defence but the Zimbabwe striker is denied by the linesman's flag.

1730: No goals so far in either of the two games in Group D. As things stand it will be Nigeria and Ghana who qualify for the quarter-finals - but can Senegal and Zimbabwe do anything to change that.

1729: Senegal defender Omar Daf gets a warning from the referee for bringing down striker John Utaka as he was about to make a surging run on the left.

1726: Nigeria defender Joseph Enakahire gets a yellow card for bringing down Henri Camara, who was about to make a break for goal on the left flank.

1723: Joel Lupahla runs fully 60 yards with the ball as Zimbabwe break with pace - but he is denied a potentially spectacular goal by Gabriel Issah's tackle on the edge of the area.

Nigeria's Obafemi Martins fails to make a close-range header in the penalty area, after John Utaka makes a cross from the right.

1720: Senegal's Lamine Diatta misses a goal from close range, after connecting a free kick taken by El Hadji Diouf on the edge of the 18-yard-box. It is a miss he may regret, should Senegal fail to qualify for the knockout stages.

1717: Ghana are still struggling to break down Zimbabwe who are pressing forward at every opportunity.

Senegal defender Ferdinand Coly and Nigeria striker Ayodele Makinwa have an exchange of words after the player tries to break loose on the left.

1712: Senegal's Diomansy Kamara outwits Taye Taiwo on the right flank and has a clear shot at goal, which goes overs the cross bar. Should have been Senegal's opening goal.

1710: Senegal's El Hadji Diouf runs into space to receive a midfield pass but the ball is to fast for him to pick up.

1709: Peter Ndlovu goes close again for Zimbabwe, making space for a shot on the edge of the area that flies just wide with Sammy Adjel beaten.

1708: Joel Lupahla wastes a free-kick in a promising position on the right-wing for Zimbabwe - who are still looking for their first goal of the tournament.

1706: El Hadji Diouf takes a run on the right flank and tries a low drive but Nigerian goalkeeper Enyeama parries it for a corner, which Senegal fail to use effectively.

1704: Zimbabwe have made a bright start and Peter Ndlovu curls in a shot from outside the area that tests Ghana keeper Sammy Adjel.

Senegal win a free kick, which is taken by Diomansy Kamara and the ball is headed out by a Nigerian defender for a throw-in near the corner flag. Pape Bouba Diop takes it but the Nigerian defence clear it out of danger.

1700: Ghana get their match under way at the Ismailia Stadium and the Nigeria and Senegal game begins at the Port Said Stadium.

Zimbabwe are practically out of contention but otherwise there is all to play for in Group D of the Cup of Nations.

Nigeria need a point to make sure of their quarter-final place - and a draw will also be enough for Senegal to join them if Zimbabwe beat Ghana.
