Jean Makoun is a Cameroon international

Cameroon midfielder Jean Makoun has extended his contract with French side Lille until June 2010, the Ligue 1 club said on Sunday.

The 22-year-old's previous deal was due to end in June 2008.

The Cameroon international played 33 times for Lille last season to help the side to second place.

He had been ever present this season until Saturday's match at Le Mans.

Makoun missed the 1-1 draw because he was suspended.

The Cameroonian joined Lille in 2002.
