New Kenya coach Mohammed Kheri has named his first squad since taking over from Twahir Muhiddin on Wednesday.

The 30-man squad starts training on 1 March as they prepare for their 2006 World Cup qualifier against Botswana in Nairobi on 26 March.

The squad includes four new names including former under-20 striker George Odari and midfielder Zakayo Kisekeli.

The other two to be given a chance by Kheri are Ulinzi Stars defender Evans Orodi and Tusker FC striker Jeff Oyando.

There are recalls for former Harambee Stars captain Robert Mambo, Patrick Osiako and the US-based Maurice Sunguti.

But goalkeeper Mathare United goalkeeper Duncan Ochieng, who bore the brunt of Kenya's 5-1 defeat in their recent World Cup qualifier in Morocco, has been dropped.

Philip Opiyo has not been included in the squad after failing a drugs test in South Africa recently.

Kenya have six points from their four matches in Group Five of the 2006 World Cup qualifying the same as Botswana, who have played one more game.

The two sides are three points behind group leaders Morocco.
