Angola call up new blood

Fabrice Akwa is a key player in the Angolan squad
Angola have named four new players in a squad that will train in Portugal before their final 2006 World Cup qualifier in Rwanda on 8 October.

Defenders Joca and Marcos Aroisa, midfielder Edson and striker Antonio Sango have been selected for the first time.

They are to be tested by coach Luis Oliveira Goncalves when Angola play Portuguese Premier League club Boavista in Porto on Wednesday.

Should the Palancas Negras win in Rwanda, they will make their debut at next year's World Cup finals in Germany.

The Palancas Negras share the lead in Group Four standings with Nigeria's Super Eagles on 18 points.

But they have a better head-to-head record.
