Fans in Algeria are unhappy with the state of the national team |
Meziane Ighil has resigned his job as coach of the Algerian national team. Ighil's decision on Wednesday follows his discussion with officials of the Algerian Football Federation.
The Desert Foxes' poor form in the ongoing 2006 World Cup qualifiers, where they are second from bottom in their group, was responsible for the resignation of Ighil's predecessor, Ali Fergani.
Ighil said he is keen to resume his work as the technical director, as the federation plans to recruit another coach.
