Nine Africans in World XI

Drogba is one of nine Africans named
Nine African footballers will take part in next month's Fifa charity match in aid of the victims of the tsunami disaster.

Brazilian star Ronaldinho will lead the World XI against a European select side to be captained by Andriy Shevchenko, the European Footballer of the Year.

Cameroon's Samuel Eto'o and Idriss Kameni have been in the World XI, along with Radhi Jaidi of Tunisia and the South African pair of Lucas Radebe and Delron Buckley.

The others are: Didier Drogba of the Ivory Coast, Ghanaians Mickael Essien and Samuel Kuffuor and Obafemi Martins of Nigeria.

The match scheduled for Barcelona's Nou Camp stadium on 15 February has been organised by Fifa in conjunction Uefa and the Spanish Football Federation.

The proceeds of the match dubbed "Football for Hope" will be donated to the Tsunami Solidarity Fund' which has been set up jointly by Fifa and the Asian Football Confederation.
