Etoile's Nigerian striker Emeka Opara has vowed to ruin Enyimba's dream of lifting the Champions League for the second successive time.

Opara's Tunisian side face the defending champions in the two-legged final.

"The Cup will come back to Sousse," the striker told BBC Sport after beating Senegal's Jeanne d'Arc in the semis.

"We have played Enyimba before and we know how to handle them."

Etoile got a 1-0 home win and 1-1 away draw against the Nigerian side during the group stages of the competition.

A former Enyimba player, Opara scored against his old side in the Aba encounter and looks forward to repeating the feat in the final.

"Being born and brought up in Aba, I am a supporter of Enyimba.

"But I must give my best to ensure Etoile is victorious in this competition.

"I can understand that my countrymen want Enyimba to win the title but I am a professional and I must deliver for the club that pays my wages."

Etoile overcame Jeanne d'Arc despite sacking coach Mrad Mahjoub just days before Sunday's game.

Mahjoub had become unpopular with the club's supporters and the management claimed his dismissal was to prevent a confrontation.

Opara admitted that Mahjoub's sudden dismissal was unexpected but the team was able to cope because the team was a long-established unit.

"The coach is a new coach but the team has been together for a while and this helped us to function effectively as a unit."

Etoile host the opening game of the Champions League final, with Enyimba hosting the decisive leg on 12 December.
