 Dos Santos has missed Tunisia's last two World Cup qualifiers |
Tunisia's Brazilian-born striker Francileudo dos Santos reportedly missed his country's recent two World Cup qualifying matches because of family problems. The joint top goal scorer at the African Cup of Nations did not play for Tunisia in this month's qualifiers against Botswana and Guinea.
He also missed the prestigious international friendly against Italy at Rades in late May.
According to Tunisia's LaPresse newspaper Dos Santos had to return to his home in Brazil because he wife wanted to return there permanently.
Officials said Dos Santos� wife no longer wanted to stay in France, where he plays for League Cup winners Sochaux.
According to the newspaper Dos Santo's wife was was home sick.
Dos Santos has been playing outside of Brazil for more than six years, first in Belgium, then Tunisia and now in France.
He spent two years at Etoile Sahel in Sousse before moving to Sochaux. His residency in Tunisia was the basis for awarding him Tunisian citizenship last year.
Dos Santos has one more year of his contract at Sochaux.
