1835: Tarek El Sayed wastes a good chance. His attempt is stopped by Defender Amir Daer of Sudan. At the other end, Alaa El Din Baber tries to score for Sudan from a counter-attack but in vain.

1832: Sudan's Haitham Abdel- Rashid attempts to score. The ball is played from the right-hand side and when Egypt's goalie Essam El- Hadary gathers the high ball, it slips from his hands. Confusion takes place and as a Sudanese forward is about to pounce, El Hadary just managers to take possession again.

Alvin Kieh scores for Liberia with two minutes to go. He receives a fantastic pass from midfielder Dioh Williams which bypasses two Malian central defenders. The Malian right-back tries to clear but miscues, and Kieh picks up the ball and finishes coolly.

1745: Liberia are increasing the pressure towards the end of the match in a hope of stealing all three points.

1742: Egypt's goalkeeper Essam El-Hadary saves a strong kick by Haitham Tambal.

1741: Saleh Moahmed Ahmed of Sudan receives a yellow card for tackling an Egyptian midfielder.

1738: Libya make two substitutions in a last attempt to get back into the match. But it is Ivory Coast who are maintaining the attacking play, both Drogba and Akale missing golden chances for the Elephants.

1730: Liberia's Antony Latta gets the ball in a dangerous position on the edge of the box, but miscues his shot and it rolls harmlessly to the Mali keeper.

1726: Sudan's Haithem Tambal receives the ball in the box and falls over among three Egyptian defenders. Sudan call for penalty but referee waves play on.

Drogba's hard penalty kick leaves the Libyan goalkeeper no chance. Drogba celebrates by dancing in front of the Ivoirian fans.

1722: With 62 minutes gone, a penalty is given to Ivory Coast - but it is difficult to see why. The Libyans protest furiously.

1721: Sudan's Anwar Abdul Sadil and Badril launch an attack from left hand side, but Egypt's defence clear. The move turns into a quick counter-attack and Sudan's goalkeeper Mahgoub el Moez is caught outside of the area and handballs. He is only booked, however. The Egyptian free kick, by Bashir el Tabei, hits the post.
