Waseige had only taken charge of Algeria in May |
Algeria's Football Federation (Faf) has sacked national team manager Robert Waseige. Faf took the decision to dismiss the Belgian on Tuesday following the national team's embarrassing 3-0 World Cup group qualifier defeat to Gabon last Friday.
Waseige, a former manager of the Belgian national side, took charge of the North African nation in May, after signing a two-year deal.
He had succeeded local coach Rabah Saadane who had taken over from another Belgian Georges Leekens, whose reign only lasted for six months.
