Fifa president Sepp Blatter will visit World Cup bidders Morocco |
Morocco have got several activities planned over the next seven weeks, including a vist by Fifa president Sepp Blatter, as they try to boost their chances of hosting the 2010 World Cup.
The programme also includes a week-long tour by the international media and two friendlies.
Beginning on Monday, the Moroccans will aim to impress the scores of journalists who are being invited to look at the facilities they have to offer.
The bid that includes eight different cities; Tangier, Agadir, Meknes, Marrakech, El Jadida, Fes and Morocco's two largest cities, Rabat and Casablanca.
During the tour Morocco will play a friendly against Angola on 31 March in Rabat and a month later they will host Argentina in Casablanca.
One of the high points of the schedule will be a two-day visit by the Fifa president Sepp Blatter.
This is Morocco's fourth attempt to host the World Cup after failing in previous bids to stage the 1994, 1998 and 2006 finals.
Many people see South Africa as the favourites to host the event but Morocco's campaign is gaining ground, which was helped by their recent good showing at the Cup of Nations in Tunisia where they finished as runners-up.
However questions about possible security problems will have been raised after several Moroccans were arrested in connection with the recent bombings in Madrid.
Libya, Tunisia and Egypt are the other three countries bidding to become the First African host of the World Cup, the winners will be announced by Fifa on 15 May in Zurich.
