Camara will quit after a 15-year international career

Guinea striker Titi Camara has confirmed his retirement from international football.

He had said before the tournament he would quit after his country's Cup of Nations campaign, which ended with elimination to Mali on Saturday.

Guinea lost 2-1 to their West African rivals in the quarter-finals.

"I think it's time for me to say goodbye to my international career because I have been playing for the team for a long time," Camara said.

The 31-year-old striker has been a Guinea international for 15 years and has played at three Cup of Nations finals.

At club level, Camara started with French side Saint Etienne and eventually moved to Lens, where he played alongside fellow countrymen Salam Sow and Mohamed Lamine Sylla.

The striker has also played in the English Premiership for Liverpool and West Ham United.
