Algerian underdogs USM Bilda snatched a deserved point against Zamalek in Cairo stadium after a 1-1 draw. Group leaders Zamalek went into the match with a lot of confidence, but they were held out by an organized and stubborn Algerian defence.
The Egyptians had to wait 10 minutes into the second half to open their account through their international striker Sameh Youssef.
The goal encouraged the Algerian team to give up their defensive strategy and they started looking for a draw.
The substitution of Zamalek's captain, Hazem Emam, lifted USM Bilda.
And they scored a deserved equalizer in the 83rd minute, thanks to an acrobatic effort from Ismail Diss.
