Kinshasa's Stade des Martyrs will host the re-arranged game between Motema Pembe and Kabasha

DR Congo's football federation (Fecofa) has issued one-year bans to two referees and fined several clubs after seeing the domestic game blighted by refereeing incompetence and violence.

Fecofa banned the referees after both were found guilty of mishandling games they were officiating.

Kalubi Kabeya received his ban after failing to send off an Inter player to whom he issued two yellow cards in a recent game against TP Mazembe - despite the protestations of both the referee's colleagues and several Mazembe players.

Meanwhile, Kalala Tshiamala was punished for the mistakes he made while officiating a game between Kabasha and Daring Club Motema Pembe.

The match was full of incident and had to be abandoned in the 56th minute following crowd trouble.

Yet Tshiamala failed to control a match where Motema Pembe were accused of using fetishes and some of their players sprayed water on the Kabasha goalkeeper as well as placed banana skins by his goalposts.

For their part, Kabasha have been fined by Fecofa for allowing non-accredited personnel to sit on their technical bench.

The game will now be replayed on 28 October and switched from the Tata Raphael stadium, where the incidents took place, to DR Congo's principal stadium - the Stade des Martyrs in Kinshasa.

Meanwhile, AS Vita have been fined US $1500 after their fans were found responsible for causing chaos at a recent fixture.

Fecofa have ordered the club to play their next game behind closed door and told Vita that failure to pay their fine within a week will lead to the club's suspension from all official competitions.
