Phiri wants to come to England |
Young Zambian defender Edwin Phiri is keen to play for the national team but admits that he is not ready to make his debut just yet.
"I want to have a lot of experience before I play at the senior level for my country," said the 20-year-old, who plays for Swedish premiership side Orgryte.
"I have to concentrate on establishing myself at Orgryte. I am benefiting from the high standard of play here and I am sure that in the future I will be available to use it to bring glory to Zambia.
"But it is up to the Football Association of Zambia to give me the chance," he added.
Phiri, whose form has earned him the club's left-back position, came to Sweden three years ago to participate in the Gothia Youth Cup.

"Orgryte were impressed with my performance at the competition and asked me to join them."
The Zambian's consistent performance has led experts to describe him as the team's revelation of the season.
"To the surprise and joy of many, this young left back has shown that he is mature to play in the premiership," said a club official.
"He scored a goal in his first match as a starter and his crosses from the flank have supported our attackers."
"Phiri Phiri," as he is called by the fans, is happy with life in the Scandinavian country and insists he has not encountered the ugliness of racism which has been prevalent in the football community.
A move to a bigger European league is a major career ambition for Phiri, who has eyes on the English Premiership.
"I want to play for Aston Villa and it is a dream that I will surely pursue until it comes true."
