Mabizela could face Radebe on Saturday

The English Premiership side have secured a work permit for the 22-year-old defender who has been capped 12 times by Bafana Bafana.

Spurs said on their website that officials were finalising transfer details with his South African club Orlando Pirates.

Should the paperwork be completed in time for Saturday's clash at White Hart Lane, Mabizela could come up against his international team mate Lucas Radebe.

Mabizela was snapped up by Spurs after impressing manager Glenn Hoddle during the London club's pre-season tour of South Africa in July.
