Tunisian defender Alaeddine Yahia has pulled out of two friendlies against Japan and Morocco. He will miss the Nations Cup warm-up matches on 8 and 11 October because of tendinitis.
Guingamp, Yahia's French first division club, ordered him to rest for ten days.
Former France coach Roger Lemerre is the manager of the Nations Cup hosts, who will play Rwanda in the tournament's opening match on 24 January.
