Loncarevic moves to Libya
Ilija Loncarevic
Loncarevic claims to have signed a two-year deal
Ilija Loncarevic, sports director of Croatia champions Dinamo Zagreb, claims to have signed a deal to manage Libya's national team.

"I was in Tripoli last week on the invitation of Libyan football federation officials," said Loncarevic.

"They informed me about the situation regarding Libyan football and offered me conditions that I was pleased with, so I eventually signed a two-year contract."

The 59-year-old refused to disclose the terms of the purported deal but said he was travelling to the Libyan capital to take up the post on Thursday.

Loncarevic's biggest success in management was winning the 1999 championship with Dinamo.

He also led Inker Zapresic to the Croatian Cup in 1992.
