South Africa's foreign affairs minister Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma will lead the country's delegation to Fifa for the formal handover of its 2010 World Cup bid. The event, which will take place at the end of the month, is the second major deadline in the bidding process.
South Africa's bid book will detail plans for the hosting of the tournament and incorporate government guarantees and commercial contracts.
Two other cabinet ministers will form part of the delegation that will travel to Switzerland for the ceremony.
South Africa are one of six nations bidding to host the 2010 finals.
Egypt, Libya, Morocco, Nigeria and Tunisia must also submit their documentation by 30 September to remain in the race to host the 2010 finals.
