49 min: Nigeria's Udeze takes a big knock and is taken off the field. The offending Angolan defender gets a yellow card.

46 min: Angola kicks off.

Half-time: Nigeria 0-1 Angola. The visitors are clearly the better side and deserve their lead. Nigeria's hurriedly assembled side are struggling to cope with their opponents.

45 min: Odemwingie emulates Udeze by shooting wildly over the Angolan bar.

44 min: Nigeria's match captain Ifeanyi Udeze ballons the ball over the Angolan bar. It underscores the poor play of the Super Eagles.

42 min: Nigeria's Osaze Odemwingie makes a mazy run into the Angolan box but the defence checkmates his move.

40 min: Action confined to the midfield and Nigeria's Ogbonna Kanu is brought down.

36 min: Eagles defender Emmanuel Izuagha is given a yellow card for bringing down a fast moving Angolan striker.

21min: Angolan shot misses the Nigerian goal by inches.

20 min: Nigeria's Chukwudi Nworgu blasts the ball over the Angolan bar.

18 min: Nigeria's lack of cohesion and co-ordination is shown in their poor passing.

13 min: Nigeria's defence clear the ball off the goal line. The Super Eagles are struggling to get back into the game, as the Angolans dominate play.

9 min: GOAL! Angola gets a free kick on the left side of the penalty box and is curled into the net by Figueiredo.

1 min: Match is on a even keel, as both sides probe each other's defence.
