Malawi complain about poor treatment |
Malawi FA president John Zingale said his team, in Nigeria for Saturday's Nations Cup qualifier against the Super Eagles, was not well received.
"There was no official to welcome our team at the airport and they had difficulties finding their way through to the hotel," he said.
Zingale also disclosed that they were made to pay for their visas because the Nigerian FA refused to do so.
"When they came to Malawi, we paid for their visas because we were the host nation and we asked for the same in return," he said.
Zingale said they have made a formal complaint to Caf on the problems faced by his team.
The president is also travelling to Nigeria on Thursday to get a first hand assessment of the situation.
"I am flying there to be with the team because our Nigerian friends are using psychological tactics on our players," he said.
"We are not going to be intimidated and that's why I am going there."
Zingale claimed the Nigerians are scared of losing at home.
Malawi lost 0-1 in their home game against Nigeria last March.
