Selolwana is the only overseas player |
Botswana will miss out on the services of top striker Dipsy Selolwane for Sunday's game against Namibia in the Cosafa Castle Cup. Selolwane, who plays for American side Chicago Fire, is not being released from pre-season training.
He would have been the only overseas professional in the side.
Botswana have never won a match in the Cosafa Cup, the Southern African championship, in six years of competition.
Their preparations were dealt another blow with a 1-0 loss at home to Lesotho. The disorganized and uninspiring Zebras lost through a 13th minute goal by Paballo Mpakanyane, and coach Veselin Julesic is now under extra pressure after such a disappointing display.
