Group summary
Rwanda started the campaign as underdogs but caused one of the biggest upsets in Nations Cup history when they qualified at Ghana's expense. Most observers, though, will always point out the fact that the Black Stars self-destructed and lost that vital game in Kigali.
Uganda could not have got off to a more promising start but the Cranes failed to build on that 1-0 win over Ghana. They employed three different coaches during their campaign.
