Diop has played for Senegal twice |
Senegal midfielder Pape Seydou Diop has signed a four-year contract with Romanian champions Dinamo Bucharest. A Bucharest spokesman confirmed the deal early on Saturday.
The 24-year-old, who has two caps for the Dakar Lions, is a cousin of Pape Bouba Diop, who famously scored Senegal's winning goal in their 1-0 upset win over defending champions France in the opening match in last year's World Cup finals.
"We have agreed a four-year contract with a very good player," Dinamo spokesman Ionel Culina told the news agency Reuters.
"The deal will be valid after his medical."
Seydou Diop was at FC Aarau in Switzerland last season, and has also played for Valenciennes, Racing Club Paris and Lens in France.
He also made seven appearances for Norwich City in the English first division in the 1999-2000 season.
