Mark Le Tissier to stand down from Guernsey FA

Mark Le Tissier
Le Tissier said the voluntary role was a busy one

Mark Le Tissier has announced he will stand down as the chairman of the Guernsey Football Association in June.

He has held the role for the past three years, but has decided to leave at the association's AGM in the summer to spend more time with his family.

Le Tissier said: "I've been [involved] in football all of my life and I don't see that changing and I'm sure there will be a role for me somewhere.

"I'd like to thank to all of those who've supported and helped me."

He paid tribute to the hard work of the Guernsey FA board and said he was proud of what they had achieved.

He said of being chairman: "It's a voluntary role, but a very busy one and it takes up a lot of time."
