Leeds United's Simon Grayson wins manager of the month
Grayson's Leeds side are currently fifth in the Championship
Leeds United manager Simon Grayson has been named the Championship's manager of the month for December.
Grayson's side took 11 points during the month, beating leaders QPR along the way, to climb into the thick of the promotion race.
Hartlepool boss Mick Wadsworth claimed the League One award after his side won all three of the games they played.
The League Two prize went to Gillingham boss Andy Hessenthaler, whose side took maximum points from their two games.
Hessenthaler admitted he was wary of the "curse" that is said to be associated with winning manager of the month.
"I am quite superstitious I admit," Hessenthaler told BBC Radio Kent.
"When I was presented with the award I wanted to keep my gloves on for the photos. I wasn't allowed to, so I made sure I didn't touch it for very long.
"Let's just make sure we put the curse to bed by winning our game on Saturday against Northampton," he added.
