Brackley boss Jon Brady cautious about title bid

Brackley Town

Brackley manager Jon Brady is playing down talk of winning the title after a 4-1 win at Rugby put them within two points of leaders Farnborough.

The Saints boss says they need to focus on their own performances rather than concentrating on their position in the league table.

"We are not thinking about that, we are just thinking about getting a good run of results," Brady told BBC Oxford.

"We need to do that before we can start thinking about anything like that."

Brackley are without a game in the Southern League Premier until 22 December when they host Truro City.

In order to compensate for the lack of match action Brady has organised a friendly on 15 December against Birmingham City's reserve team.

"We have a gap of 14 days and we need to give the boys a bit of time off. They can rest, relax and recuperate and they can look forward to Tuesday night against Birmingham," said Brady.

"It will be important match practice before we have that game against Truro."
