The first round of the 2009/10 Dandara Jersey Football Combination season gets under way on Saturday with 12 matches in five divisions.
The pick of the opening day clashes is reigning champions St Paul's against Jersey Scottish at St Saviour.
St Paul's go into the 2009/10 season as the team to beat.
Jersey Football Combination president Tim Darwin predicts a tight season. "It will be hard to look past St Paul's, who look very strong," he said.
And he told BBC Radio Jersey: "Trinity and Scottish will both challenge, as could Grouville, while the Portuguese Club may surprise a few as well."

Grouville play the newly promoted Portuguese Club in the only other Premiership match on the first day of the season.
The Portuguese Club could prove a strong opponent for the top sides in the Premiership after finishing last season undefeated in the Championship.
St Paul's defeated Jersey Scottish 3-0 in their pre-season Charity Cup quarter-final clash.
