SUNDAY

Arsenal v Middlesbrough (1330 BST)

Arsenal v Middlesbrough

Arsenal have got all of their big players back. They play outstanding football and against Liverpool their midfield made up for injuries to their defence.

Middlesbrough don't look like scoring. They gambled on signing striker Alfonso Alves and lost players to offset his wages but he has not scored goals. It will be touch and go whether they avoid relegation.

Verdict: 2-0

Blackburn v Wigan (1600 BST)

Blackburn v Wigan

This is a tasty north-west derby and I expect plenty of tackling. Blackburn are having their hiccup at just the worst time. They need one more win to be safe and I think they will get it here.

Wigan's sale of Wilson Palacios and Emile Heskey, along with injuries, has seen them tail off. It's not that they are paying the price for selling the players as they have had a really good season.

Verdict: 2-0

MONDAY

Newcastle v Portsmouth (2000 BST)

Newcastle v Portsmouth

Portsmouth have become very hard to beat under Paul Hart and Brian Kidd without looking like they will score. They will be safe from relegation.

Newcastle boss Alan Shearer has to decide whether to go with Mark Viduka and Obafemi Martins ahead of Michael Owen. It is a big decision as they will probably have to play 4-4-2 rather than 4-3-3. Martins looked fitter, stronger and sharper than Owen when he came on last week and Viduka can hold the ball up in attack. They will probably win but it will be nervy.

Verdict: 2-1
