Aaron Lescott out scored his brother Joleon 2-1 at the weekend
Football has the eminent title of the 'People's Game' and fully deserves the lofty mantle.
It evokes so many emotions, opinions and creates fantastic memories.
Over the years of watching your favourite team it is easy to recall the top drawer players - the elite brigade.
All too often the goalscorers attract the headlines and the adulation. The favourite players are usually the strikers, the goalscoring midfielders or, of course, the twinkle-toed wingers.
But what of the bread and butter 'Steady Eddies' who perform consistently week in, week out?
This week Rovers full-back Aaron Lescott set me thinking. Who have been the 'unsung heroes' over the years?
Last Saturday the Rovers left-back had a fantastic afternoon at Walsall.
Joleon scored for Everton in their win over Stoke. Aaron out-did his brother with two at Walsall. Priceless.
Geoff Twentyman, BBC Bristol
After 173 League appearances he had failed to score a single goal. After 174 League games he had two goals to his name.
I remember when Aaron turned up on deadline day in March 2004 along with Ali Gibb from Stockport.
The 30-year-old has been a great servant to Rovers. He has always given his best whether in midfield, right-back or left-back. Despite his intense commitment it has been an incredible run of playing games without scoring.
This season right-footed Aaron has played on his wrong side but still defends resolutely and marauds forward with infectious enthusiasm.
Imagine the domestic banter with brother Joleon, also a defender, who has been banging in goals left, right and centre at Everton for quite some time.
No doubt they had a engaging telephone conversation on Saturday evening. Joleon scored for Everton in their win over Stoke. Aaron out-did his brother with two at Walsall. Priceless.
Although I am elevating him from 'unsung hero' to 'sung hero' Aaron deserves a huge pat on the back and some genuine acclaim.
So the question is, and take your time thinking this one over, who is your favourite 'unsung hero' in your time as a Bristol football fan?

Like Mangotsfield United my club Paulton Rovers are dependent on functions within the club to exist in the Southern League. As a members club we live within a tight but reasonable budget. Manager Andy Jones has built a good squad with many having league experience. Our former striker Ashley Barnes (from Dunkerton) near Peasedown St John) is now a regular at 19 years old in the first team at Plymouth.
Unlike many clubs in Division One of the Southern League all our players reside within fifteen miles of the club! We have regular supporters throughout Bristol, S Glos and Somerset (from Coalpit Heath to Sherbourne). I wish we had a few more!
