MONDAY

Man Utd v Middlesbrough (2000)

Manchester United v Middlesbrough

It was a gritty win for Manchester United at Stoke on Boxing Day, but they will be over their jetlag after by the time Middlesbrough visit Old Trafford.

Boro don't know where their next goal is coming from, never mind their next point and it won't come on Monday night.

Verdict: 3-0

TUESDAY

Hull v Aston Villa (2000)

Hull v Aston Villa

I would love to know the reaction of Hull's players after what boss Phil Brown did to them at half-time in the 5-1 defeat at Manchester City. He should have got them in the dressing-room and it will be interesting to see how they perform on Tuesday.

Aston Villa had a great comeback to draw with Arsenal, but they could and should have been 4-0 up at half-time in that game. They are set up to play counter-attacking football in the absence of John Carew and this should suit at the KC Stadium.

Verdict: 1-2
