Willmott hits winner in local tie

The FA Trophy
Histon currently sit above Cambridge in the Conference.

Robbie Willmott hit a late winner for Cambridge in the first round of the FA Trophy as United beat local rivals Histon 3-2 at the Glass World stadium.

Midson scored for the Stutes in the 5th minute. Rendell hit back with 2 goals including one from the penalty spot.

Nathaniel Knight-Percival replied for Histon but Wilmott managed to win the game with a 90th minute winner.

Both Histon central defenders Matt Mitchell-King and Matt Langston were sent off in an ill-disciplined game.


Histon: Naisbitt, Mitchell-King, Langston, Andrews, Murray, Midson, Knight-Percival, Oyebanjo, Wright, Simpson, Gwillim.

Subs Not Used: Pope, Okay, Kennedy, Reeves, Sparkes.

Goals: Midson 5, Knight-Percival 60.
