Scunthorpe 2-1 Tranmere

Scunthorpe booked their place in the northern area final of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy with a last-gasp victory over Tranmere.

The game was three minutes into stoppage time when Rovers defender John Johnson deflected a free-kick from Paul Hayes into his own net.

Striker Ben May gave the hosts the lead with a superb header on 26 minutes.

But Tranmere equalised on 54 minutes through Ian Moore, while Antony Kay should have won it for the visitors.
