Fans have raised 60,000 for the statue to honour Brian Clough
Burton manager Nigel Clough has said he has mixed emotions about the unveiling of a statue of his father, Brian.
The statue of the former Derby and Nottingham Forest manager was unveiled in Nottingham on Thursday.
Clough told BBC Radio Derby: "It's a lovely monument and it does bring back memories, some are happy, some are not so happy.
"If you look around the country there are not too many statues of people, so he must have done something right."
Clough also said he feels proud every time he drives down the A52 between Nottingham and Derby which has been renamed the Brian Clough Way.
"It's not just at the start and the end it's a few times along the way," said the former Liverpool midfielder.
"The kids always spot it and look forward to seeing it and it's nice for them to be reminded."
Brian Clough, who led Forest to two European Cups and Derby to the First Division Championship, died in September 2004 from stomach cancer at the age of 69.
