League Two strugglers Luton scored a late winner to knock Walsall out of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.
Rossi Jarvis smashed the ball home from the edge of the area after Tom Craddock's effort had been blocked.
Craddock was a constant threat while Saddlers keeper Clayton Ince saved a point-blank Claude Gnakpa header.
League One Walsall disappointed but should have scored in the 34th minute when Michael Ricketts headed over from Chris Palmer's cross.
