Two goals from Grant Holt helped Shrewsbury brush aside Dagenham to make the southern area semi-final of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.

Holt latched on to a Magnus Okuonghae back pass to side-foot in before Steve Leslie pounced from close range.

Chris Humphrey crosses set up Holt for his second on the stroke of half-time and then Richard Walker made it 4-0.

Shrewsbury completed the rout when Gylfi Sigurdsson crossed for Graham Coughlan to head a fifth.
