Luton came from two goals down to dump in-form Brentford out of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy on penalties.
The visitors went in front when Glenn Poole hammered in from 30 yards and they were 2-0 up when Marvin Williams rounded Conrad Logan to slot home.
Luton pulled one back as Asa Hall headed in from an Ed Asafu-Adjaye cross and they levelled when Chris Martin nodded home Garreth O'Connor's centre.
Then Logan saved two spot-kicks and Rossi Jarvis tucked home the winner.
