Orient came from behind to record an impressive away win over Southend in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.
Lee Sawyer fired Southend in front on 13 minutes, before Ryan Jarvis' cool finish and Adam Chambers' header put the visitors in front.
A Sawyer header hauled Southend level, only for JJ Melligan to slam a shot home to restore Orient's lead.
Substitute Adam Boyd scored a penalty after he was fouled by Jean-Francois Cristophe to add a fourth for Orient.
