Dagenham booked their place in the second round of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy with victory over Barnet.

The home side took the lead after four minutes when Paul Benson slotted in, but Barnet equalised two minutes later through Adam Birchall.

Birchall doubled Barnet's lead on 16 minutes before Mark Nwokeji levelled the scores on 28 minutes.

Paul Benson put the Daggers in front before the break before a second-half penalty from Glen Southam won the game.
