Truro City Ladies got their first point of the season with a 1-1 draw at home to Cardiff City in the Southern Division of FA Women's Premier League.

City were just a minute away from taking all three points after Leanne Lapham gave them the lead from the penalty spot after 73 minutes.

But they were denied victory by a stunning 30-yard free kick by Lauren Townsend in the last minute.

Truro lost their opening game 2-1 at home to Charlton Athletic last week.
