Portuguese Club won just three points in the second half of the season
Portuguese Club were relegated from the Jersey Football Combination after they lost 2-1 to Trinity on Tuesday.
They were reduced to 10 men when Michal Agrela was sent off for handling a Trinity shot on the line.
The penalty was pushed away by keeper Marco Caldiera, but the ball was cut back to Barry Beatson who swept it in to give Trinity the lead at half-time.
Just after the restart Steve McCarter made it 2-0 before John Rutter pulled one back for Portuguese on 75 minutes.
Portuguese Club, who were only promoted to Division One last year, started the season well and were lying in fifth in January.
But only gaining three points in the second half of the season has sealed their fate.
First Tower United have also been relegated from the top flight.
Second-placed Trinity keep the pressure on combination leaders St Paul's with this win, but struggled to convincingly finish off a ten-man side.
