Ex-England defender Langley dies
Former England defender Jimmy Langley, who won three full caps in the late 1950s, has died at the age of 78.

He began his career at Guildford City, and had a brief spell at Leeds United before moving to Brighton.

Langley made 166 league appearances in three-and-a-half years at the Seagulls, including two seasons as captain.

He then played 323 times for Fulham in nearly a decade at Craven Cottage, before joining QPR, playing in their League Cup-winning side in 1967.

The funeral will take place at Breakspear Crematorium in Ruislip on Friday, 21 December at 1415 GMT, followed by a wake at Hillingdon Borough FC - a club he managed after retiring as a player.

Langley's son Peter told Brighton's website that anyone is welcome to attend either event.
