Hartlepool 1-1 Morecambe
Morecambe win 4-2 on penalties

Morecambe reached the northern area semi-finals of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy as they earned a 4-2 penalty shoot-out win over Hartlepool.

Richard Barker put Hartlepool ahead as he netted his ninth goal of the season on 12 minutes with a 15-yard shot.

Jon Newby levelled on 49 minutes from the penalty spot after Richie Humphreys was judged to have handled the ball.

Morecambe's Paul Lloyd saw a shot pushed pushed against the post by Jan Budtz but the match went to penalties.


Hartlepool: Budtz, McCunnie, Antwi , Nelson, Humphreys, Moore, Boland (Gibb 57), Sweeney, Robson (Foley 46), Mackay (Porter 67), Barker.
