Bauza celebrates his goal with team-mate Alan Tate |
Guillem Bauza scored his fourth goal in three games to send Swansea through to the southern section semi-finals of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy. The striker headed into an empty net on 41 minutes after Alan Tate's header from a corner had been blocked.
Swansea were lucky to escape earlier in the half when Tate cleared off the line after a goal-mouth scramble.
Swansea had the best chance of a tight second-half when Darryl Duffy's shot was saved after a flowing move.
In a frantic final quarter, Yeovil's Nathan Jones and Lloyd Owusu came close but Swansea held on as Tate and Garry Monk were outstanding at the back.
